Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the great painter Martha Carvalho started her successful career right after attending the Rio de Janeiro Architecture University.
After graduating she had the opportunity to develop her professional activities collaborating with the over world famous architects Sérgio Rodrigues and Sérgio Bernardes who commented that she could be considered our representative of the Planet Earth who could take our imagination away from it towards the cosmos. He said: “Martha you make our minds travel throughout spaces never imagined by anyone before.”

Besides exposing her exclusive paintings in Brazil she also had them exposed all over the world such as in Monaco (1987/1990) where critiques viewed her as a promising value within the latin american world of art. According to a Monaco’s local magazine: “Martha Carvalho est une artiste qui insuffle à l’art moderne une nouvelle vie et des noveaux horizons” (Martha Carvalho is an artist who introduces in the modern art a different proposal to new horizons). Six hundred panels painted for Globo TV Network and distributed to their clients at the International Movie and TV Fair in Cannes (France) and New Orleans (USA) (1991).
She has also exposed her designs in London and Munich in 1988 and her works of art can be found at the Chateau of Prince Louis de Polignac, Bretagne, and in other famous sites all of the world.
